Advertising to get into mobile games

One of the industries which can have a huge impact on the growth of cell phone advertising is the mobile gaming industry. Sprint recently conducted a survey on the wireless usage of US customers and came up with some unbelievable numbers. More than one-third of the respondents stated that they would love to play games in their mobile phone. Both casual and active gamers show a lot of interest in mobile phone games and certain gamers, who are admittedly addicted to gaming, spend close to 2000 hours playing video games in mobile phones. The mobile gaming market is said to have the potential to cross the proverbial $20 billion mark in the next three years. With this kind of numbers, mobile marketers are thinking hard to break into the territory of mobile gaming.

One of the biggest advantages of merging mobile advertising with gaming is that the consumer is sure to take notice of the ad. This is due to the reason that mobile games are played with a lot of passion and concentration and anything which shares the space with a mobile game will hardly go unnoticed. This has made mobile advertisers think long and hard about relating their brands to some of the most popular games available today. As you might know, the click-through-rate for interactive advertisements is way more than that of banner ads. So, you can expect mobile marketers to enter the world of Xbox 360 and Nintendo soon.
