Microsoft’s acquisition of ScreenTonic, a well-known European mobile advertising company, for an undisclosed amount has made the market turn its attention towards mobile phone advertising big time. After all, when Microsoft does it, we all notice; don’t we? ScreenTonic is one of the few companies in Europe that develop an exclusive platform for mobile advertising. This platform will help you place the ads and manage them in the mobile phone interface.
Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Fox News, ESPN, USA Today, New York Times… phew; I wonder how long the list will be? With all these big players entering the mobile phone advertising market, we’ve got to have some high level competition which would ultimately benefit us – the customers.
