Listen up people – the ubiquitous Google AdSense has reached our mobile space. Google has come up with a limited beta to try out AdSense in mobile sites. According to this, if you are a mobile website developer, you can have targeted Google AdSense ads in your site.
This works exactly like Google AdSense program for websites. You can have targeted adverts in your mobile site and whenever a customer clicks on the ad, you get paid. The back-end network of this program is run by Google and it makes sure that the adverts placed are relevant to your site content. In order to try this out, the site should be written in any of the following mobile mark up languages - WML, XHTML, and cHTML.
This is a limited beta and Google plans to improve this program with the help of the feedback it gets from users. Google has already sent out a few email invitations asking people to try out Google AdSense in their mobile phone. Experts feel that this move of Google could open up new avenues in the world of mobile phone advertising.
Well; the sad part is I haven’t received any invitations from Google.
Have you? If so, please share your experiences.
