Mobile based reminder service from Kwiry

How forgetful are you? Seriously; do you keep forgetting things often that you wish someone would remind you at the right time or at least store it somewhere so that you can retrieve it later? Well; the solution is here in the form of Kwiry, the latest entrant into the world of mobile advertising and marketing.

Kwiry has developed a mobile based free service which helps you set reminders for anything you want, any time of the day. For example, you see an ad for Spice Girls reunion and want to note it down somewhere to check it out in detail later. You can simply take your mobile phone and text the message Spice Girls Reunion to 59479 (KWIRY). The next time you’re online, you can either log on to kwiry.com or check out the email from Kwiry for the search results for Spice Girls reunion. Also, in your Kwiry homepage, there will be a list of reminders that you’ve set so far, easy to manage and view. On top of it all, you can also share these reminders with your friends and let them share theirs with you. This is a free service and Kwiry doesn’t charge you anything, but you have to bear the standard SMS rates from your carrier.

Kwiry is wooing a lot of advertisers and marketers to join this viral mobile marketing campaign. The founders say this could be a big success as it’s viral in its very nature. I personally think it’s a good service and especially it’s a free service, it might find a lot of takers. But the success of this service will depend on how well Kwiry is able to market itself and get a strong customer base. Let’s wait and watch. In the mean time, why don’t you check out Kwiry and tell me whatcha gotta say?

I think this is a good service for those who rely heavily in handphone but we can already set our own reminder in the handphone it self…I don’t really see what the significane for this service…do you? That is just my opinion…

Nimrodjo, Yes; you can set up reminders in your cellphone. I think using this service has a slight advantage. You can create a huge file of reminders, you can allow your friends to send reminders to you, (mind you; people in the US are mostly charged for text messages so it’s much better for them to use this free service to send something among themselves), you can have a homepage where you sort out the data and check out for old reminders also, in case you wanted to check out something. Above all, unlike cellphones, you don’t have to worry about the “space” issue here. In my cellphone, I can hardly set 20 reminders at a time. Nothing more than that.

Here is the important issue - I’m not endorsing this product/service anyway. It’s just that I think it might have takers in the market.

PS: Thanks for the comment. :)
