YouTube Mobile

By now, it’s clear to everyone around the world that a YouTube account is the most important thing in the online world, only next to a mail id. I was actually wondering how YouTube hasn’t done anything to improve its presence on mobile phones despite having millions of users in the world who use their mobile phones to access YouTube. After all, we all know that a lot of people shoot videos in their mobile phone and upload them in YouTube, all in a matter of minutes. With this being the case, it was essential for YouTube to do something which will actually boost the number of mobile users who browse YouTube from their mobile phones. It has done it, finally.

YouTube announced a few days back that its service will be extended to a wide range of mobile phones. As of now, a majority of YouTube users still depend on high-speed internet to stream videos. This, however, will change soon as YouTube will come up with a service that will make streaming videos on mobile phone much easier, in fact just as easy as doing so in the internet. Handsets from Motorola, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, and LG can support this service and what more, this service will be available in 11 languages and in 17 countries, making it easier for international YouTube users.

Will Yahoo Go make Yahoo go all the way?

Yahoo, as we all know, is tired of getting beaten by its competitors time and again. It tries so hard to compete with Microsoft and Google, only to find out that it still has a long way to go. So, instead of taking them on in the well-known battlefield, the internet, Yahoo has moved its attention to the mobile phone industry and hence we have Yahoo Go. Fortunately for Yahoo, things are looking good in the mobile industry. MySpace, MTV Networks, and eBay have come up with special mobile services that can be accessed via Yahoo mobile site and especially through Yahoo Go. Yahoo is trying to grab this opportunity with both hands and one of the important reasons why it thinks Yahoo Go would be a success it its versatility. Yahoo Go runs on over 250 different handsets from Nokia, Samsung, LG, and Motorola and even better, it comes preloaded on some of these mobile phones, which is an added advantage in itself.

But there is one thing Yahoo needs to worry about as of now. Carriers in the United States are not too impressed with Yahoo Go preloaded mobile phones and they remove the software from the phones before selling them. What this means to the US consumers is that they need to download the software on their mobile phone. Though it’s a relatively easy process, not everyone would want to do that.

Watch Flash videos in your Apple iPhone - right now

Have you lost count of the number of times you tried to play a Flash video in your Apple iPhone and failed? Well my friends; the solution, at last, is here. It has come in the form of a not-so-well-known website called Avot mV. The site has one hell of a collection of videos from YouTube, MySpace, and other sites and you’ll be able to play them in your iPhone.

All you need to do is – check out the site from your mobile browser, select the video you want, and simply click the play button and watch the magic of the video getting played in your Safari Mobile. It’s that simple. You can choose from a helluva collection including music, sports, politics, crazy stuff, sitcoms, and many other videos. You can even create an account with the site and bookmark your favorite videos and links there for future use. The site is uber cool and especially, it’s really cool to watch these videos on iPhone. Apart from the iPhone, you can also check out the videos on your iPod Touch, Windows Mobile device, Motorola RAZR, Samsung, and LG mobile phones.
