I’ve already discussed the importance of having good analytical tools to determine the efficiency of a mobile advertising campaign and how the lack of it will discourage more and more advertisers to come up with innovative mobile advertising ideas. Thankfully, there is a solution today. But still, this is just the beginning. We need more such tools to make sure more and more brands are confident of entering the world of mobile advertising.
The need for a yardstick to find out the results and compare the results of different mobile advertising campaigns is very important. Here is an article which discusses this issue in detail.
The article raises a couple of darn good points. By processing the mobile ad data manually, which most ad companies, at least the small ones, do, companies are only complicating the issue further. I feel that ad metrics are definitely necessary for companies to gauge the impact of their advertising campaigns and create further campaigns that are more cost-effective, more efficient, and more fruitful. So, the need of the hour is transparency – clients should know what is going on with their mobile advertising campaigns and mobile advertisers should be able to provide the data which can help their clients understand the value of mobile advertising. Buck up guys, this issue could be the difference maker to the future of mobile advertising.
